Easter to us is all about family, and with a young family of our own, we love having a simple and fun activity to keep the kids entertained, before heading off on their Easter egg hunt and racing around finding all the chocolate, and these cute little Floral Animal eggs.
You can hard boil the eggs first to make them less fragile in small hands. Or you can poke small holes in them and blow them out and wash and dry them if you'd like to keep them on display.
We choose to hard boil them so they could be hidden for a fun Easter egg hunt.
Materials
Eggs
Small flowers with thin stalks
Thin wire
Felt Pens / markers
Instructions
We boiled our eggs first for 8 mins and then let them cool in an ice bath and then dried them off so we could decorate them.
While the eggs are boiling, we went for a walk around the garden and found some flowers to use, that were easy to bend in to a crown.
So take your flowers and thin wire and twist together to make a round crown that will sit on top of your eggs.
Then take your marker pen and draw on cute little animal faces.
Then place your floral crown on top of your little animal egg and then hide around your house for the kids to find, or place in the centre of your easter table as a cute decoration.
