This is our levelled up ham and cheese toasted sandwich, with prosciutto, brie, pear and honey. It is perfection in a sandwich [insert chefs kiss].
It's the perfect meal for a weekend lunch or a late night snack. It's indulgent and delicious with the perfect mix of crispy, salty, gooey cheesy with a hint of sweetness from the pear and honey.
Ingredients
2 slices sourdough bread
4 slices Brie cheese
2 slices prosciutto
1/2 pear thinly sliced
Fresh thyme
1 tsp Kai Ora Mānuka Honey
Butter
Heat a heavy based frying pan, add butter and let it brown a little, while you assemble your sandwich. Simply layer all your ingredients together on the sourdough bread then add your completed sandwich to the pan.
Cook on one side until golden, then flip and cook the other side until the cheese has melted and the bread is toasted and golden. Eat while warm.
